ADG is the state agency charged with regulating tribal gaming, event wagering & fantasy sports contests, racing and pari-mutuel/simulcast wagering and unarmed combat sports. ADG also provides and supports prevention, education, and treatment programs for people and families affected by problem gambling through its Division of Problem Gambling and 24-hour confidential helpline, 1-800-NEXT-STEP.

ADG is a state government regulatory agency with oversight of Tribal Gaming, Event Wagering & Fantasy Sports, Racing and Boxing & Mixed Martial Arts, with each of these areas funded uniquely. For more information, download the PDF.
STRATEGIC PLAN
ADG participates in the State of Arizona strategic planning process in defining agency goals. This process considers the needs and expectations of customers, stakeholders, and policy makers as we work to improve productivity and customer service, and strengthen accountability for results.
The Divisions of ADG
Gaming in Arizona is governed by the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compacts between the State and 22 federally recognized Arizona tribes. ADG partners with these tribes and their regulators to oversee Indian casinos.
Works with the independent Arizona Racing Commission to regulate and oversee Arizona’s live horse racing and pari-mutuel simulcast horse and dog racing wagering both on- and off-track.
Works with the independent Arizona Boxing & Mixed Martial Arts Commission to regulate and supervise unarmed combat sport events in Arizona to protect the health and safety of athletes and participants and maintain public confidence.
Provides and supports education, prevention, and treatment programs connecting people and families with the resources they need to beat problem gambling.
